petter b delivers an outstanding new ep on drumcode proving that swedish techno is thriving! the first track which, is a collaboration between petter b, john h & m.e.e.o, uses an arpegiated synth before storming to the main section of the track and breaking down the doors. the gliding synth sounds really fire with all guns blazing to produce a techno monster that growls. petter bs next two tracks involve two solo offerings that are heavily techno based.voltage controlled time uses raw distorted drums and a catchy synth line to really give the track a lot of energy and power.

if vocals of 90s acts like bjork and massive attack, to the choral of female crooners that came out of scandinavia in the 2000s hit a sweet spot, than the voice of gry bagoien will be a welcomed sound. here for scissors & thread, with the help of francis harris and jordan lieb (aka black light smoke), the danish singer debuts on the american label under her own name (rather than using her known gry alias). she delivers a four-track ep of smokey, abstract house music and throughout phantom power bagoien s voice sounds as though it s being projected through an oversized telephone speaker, either in a jazz club next to miles davis, a studio full of deep efdemin arrangements, in the wilderness at a swedish festival or lost in a cosmos of reverb and delay with fever ray.

nice price deal !!! next up on the skudge white offshoot is swedish producer and autodidakt records label head daniel andréasson. here andréasson follows suit and unleashes four strictly analogue cuts, each with a different twist.
the pacey 130bpm *ble3* leads offs, revolving around some catchy melodic interplay whereas the tempo dips on *dither24* for a sluggish exercise complete with backpedals and ricocheting stabs. *whats up* is another cut spat straight out of the machines and dipped in acid whilst *shape%07* is a battery of analogue drums that will have you in knots.

this 5th release consists of three tracks made by the twin duo manic brothers, one edited by petter b. they have during their relativity short career proven themselves as worthy keepers of the swedish techno heritage with big releases on drumcode a.o. what they bring to bond on this release is their signature big room sound but with a much more simplified approach than previously heard. on the a-side there are two great tool tracks with lots of space for creative interpretation for a dj. on the flip there are a long and epic track with a massive vocal breakdown. groove based but yet with a big and strong hook.
